Dr. Kamini Rao is a pioneer and visionary leader in reproductive medicine, known for her extensive research, significant achievements, and trailblazing efforts that have paved the way for many in the field. Her distinguished service has earned her the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Indian government and many international accolades.

Dr. Rao pursued a career in medicine, completing her MBBS and DGO, followed by advanced training in London, where she earned her MRCOG, DORCP, MCh, a Fellowship in fetal medicine under Kypros Nicolaides, also Dr. Rao received an honorary Doctorate of Science at Bangalore University.

Dr. Rao's contributions to the medical community are extensive. As President of the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), she played a crucial role in strengthening the organization and launched India's leading Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences. Her groundbreaking achievements include milestones such as India’s First SIFT Baby, South India’s first ICSI, and the first LAH baby.

In addition to her clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Rao is a dedicated educator, having mentored and trained numerous medical professionals in the field of reproductive medicine. Her students, who are now practicing in all major corporate hospitals and private practices across the globe, continue to uphold and advance the high standards she has set in reproductive health.
